Gabriela WasileskiGraduate Research Assistant BioGabriela Wasileski is a research assistant at the DRC. She graduated from the University of Delaware in February 2007 with a M.A. in Criminology. She previously received a M.A. in Social Work at Comenius University in Slovak Republic. She joined the DRC at the beginning of September, 2005 as a Master’s student. Her research interests include human ecology, domestic violence, criminological theory and research methods. Gabriela currently works for DRC’s project, known formally as Mid-Atlantic Earthquake project (MAE). She carried out quantitative data analysis in order to develop a vulnerability/resilience model for businesses in geographic areas impacted by disaster. Presently, she performs a detailed analysis of quantitative data on business interruption and recovery following disasters of Hurricane Andrew (1992) and Loma Prieta Earthquake (1989). |
