Laura MonicoGraduate Research Assistant BioLaura B. Monico is a Master’s student in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. She recently completed dual B.S. degrees in Sociology and Political Science at Shepherd University in West Virginia. She is currently serving as a research assistant on the Collaborative Adaptive Sensing of the Atmosphere project (CASA), funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). She has presented several professional papers on the social and political aspects of housing affordability and class inequality. Laura’s academic interests include research design and statistical procedures; immigrant assimilation, group cohesion, and barriers to collective political action.
