Laura BlackGraduate Research Assistant BioLaura Black is a PhD candidate in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and a US Department of Education GAANN Fellow. She has received a Master of Arts in Urban Affairs and Public Policy, concentration in Urban & Regional Planning, and a Master of Civil Engineering, concentration in Infrastructure Systems. Laura joined the Disaster Research Center as a research assistant during the summer of 2008 and has worked on various projects having to do with transportation policy, infrastructure considerations for climate change, and emergency preparedness for DOTs.
