Graduate Research Assistant
Alex Greer is a PhD student in Disaster Science and Management at the University of Delaware. He graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2010 with his Bachelor of Science in Geology and Sociology, and in 2012 with his Masters in Disaster Science and Management from the University of Delaware. For his Master's Thesis, Alex studied the relationship between issue framing, policy change, and large oil spills in the United States. During his time at the DRC Alex was afforded the opportunity to spend time in Japan studying the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. His current research interests are community resilience, community recovery, and disaster policy.
