After 50 years of continued success in research, training, and service in the disaster community, the Disaster Research Center continues to pioneer advances in disaster research. The primary goals of the Disaster Research Center are:
to advance interdisciplinary research on preventing and managing disasters;
to further our commitment to graduate and undergraduate research training, especially through the Disaster Science and Management Program;
to strengthen the E. L. Quarantelli Resource Collection as the world’s most complete collection on the social and behavioral science aspects of disasters;
and to expand our portfolio of seven hundred field studies in the aftermath of disasters, catastrophes, and community crises.
Gifts from DRC alumni and supporters will provide the Disaster Research Center with the necessary resources to assure the vitality and growth of our educational and research programs in the future.
We ask that you commit to support the Disaster Research Center by making a contribution.
On behalf of everyone at the Disaster Research Center,
we thank you for your continued investment in our program.
