 W.I.S.E. (Women in Science and Engineering), a subcommittee of the University Commission on the Status of Women, is composed of women faculty at the University of Delaware in fields related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, faculty with research interests concerning women faculty in these fields, the Dean of each of the College of Engineering, Arts and Sciences, and Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Vice-President for Administration, and selected Chairs. The Committee works to initiate and support programs intended to increase the recruitment and retention of tenure/tenure-track faculty women in fields related to science and engineering and to improve the representation of women at the highest academic and administrative ranks at the University.
