The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) reports directly to the University President regarding concerns of women students, faculty, and staff. The CSW issues an annual report that makes recommendations for changes in policies, programs, procedures, and hiring practices to achieve equity for women. The Office of Women's Affiars (OWA) provides administrative support to the CSW.
The CSW provides awards and travel grants to recognize women's accomplishments, as well as the accomplishments of men who work to promote women's issues. The CSW also sponsors annual lectures by nationally-recognized women scholars.
