Plant Protection
A degree in Plant Protection, combined with good experience and strong
academics, can lead you to a variety of careers - from the lab to the
field. Companies like DuPont, AgrEvo, Monsanto, Zeneca and many more hire
Plant Protection graduates for positions in pest management, field
consulting, sales, and research. While some students enter the workforce
right after college, others choose to further their education in graduate
school, studying subjects such as plant pathology, entomology, integrated
pest
management, weed science and agronomy. Whatever your goal, we encourage
you to participate in internships, job search workshops and career days;
to develop your communication skills; and to learn to network with
prospective employers.
For more information on any of the College of Agriculture and Natural
Resources majors, contact the Office of Academic Programs at 831-2508 or
stop by 104 Townsend Hall.
