Daily Homework Assignments
CISC181, Spring 2005, Conrad

When turning in hwk assignments on your own paper, please use the following format:

Homework is used to track attendance

So if you didn't do your homework, at least turn in a blank piece of paper with your name on it so that you are counted as "present".

This page will be updated through the semester.

Homework assignments in regular type are finalized. Those in italics are tentative, so if you work ahead, you may want to wait until the italics turn to regular type before doing so. Reading assignments and homework should be finalized at least 2 weeks in advance; email your instructor if that doesn't seem to be the case.

Ch. 6 is the Unix file system.
App. B is the Unix "man" command.

Ch14 covers vi, while Ch15 covers emacs. You may choose either chapter, depending on which editor you choose to use. But be sure you are familiar with all the material in the chapter, and all the advanced features of the editor you choose to use. You may be tested on this material (you'll have a choice
