Reading assignments are placed on Sundays only for convenience (so that they do not clutter up the spaces for the weekdays.) These reading assignments should be understood to be the reading that students should be doing "that week" to prepare for the following week of lectures.

Abbreviations for reading assignments:

HK: Hanly and Koffman, Problem Solving and Program Design in C, Fourth Edition.
Unix: Andersen, "Just Enough Unix", 5th edition. Chapter/Page numbers for the 4th edition are indicated in this manner. (4th Ed: Ch. xxx-xxx). Where nothing is indicated for the 4th edition, the page numbers and chapters numbers are the same as in the 5th edition.
