Just Enough Unix, Anderson, 4th Edition, McGraw Hill 2003. Lecture: 9:05-9:55, Mon/Wed/Fri Gore 104 Lab: 12:25-1:10, 1:25-2:15, 2:30-3:20, or 3:35-4:25 Willard 009B You must attend the lab to which you are assigned. (this helps to ensure everyone gets a terminal, and a reasonably chance at help from the TA) Course Goals (in a nutshell): * Learn Problem Solving and Algorithm Development * Learn C programming, including but not limited to: data types control structures functions arrays, pointers, strings * Learn basic of using Unix Note: Attendance is mandatory in both lecture and lab. Attendance will be taken. Three unexcused absences will result in a failing grade. Grading: 50% Exams (15% Midterm 1, 15% Midterm 2, 20% Final) 30% Programming Projects 20% Labs, Homeworks, Quizzes
