James M. Jones, UD professor of psychology and director of UD's Black American Studies Program, will give the first College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Distinguished Lecture at 4 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, in 100 Wolf Hall.

Titled “The TRIOS Factor: A Psycho-cultural Theory of Coping, Surviving and Thriving in the African Diaspora,” Jones' talk will focus on his work on TRIOS, a psychological worldview that combines the African-inspired processes of (and is an acronym for) time, rhythm, improvisation, orality and spirituality.

SGA presents FestivALL, an event that will combine culture, food and performances, from 12-5 p.m. on UD's North Green. The event will feature performances by 25 student groups, music by DJ Amaze and a free three-course buffet for all students.

Senior Day!

Graduating UD seniors are invited Senior Day festivities, from 2-5 p.m., on Friday, May 16, on the North Green.

Seniors who register online at [www.udel.edu/contest] will be entered in drawings to win various prizes, including a flat-screen TV, TiVos, GPS navigation systems, a WSFS ATM withdrawal challenge, a Hardrock Sport mountain bike and other prizes from Boscov's, gift certificates to area restaurants and more.

Seniors also have the chance to win the grand prize of a Pontiac G5 from NuCar Pontiac Buick GMC.
Seniors must be present to win.
In addition, all UD students, faculty and staff are eligible to win a Nintendo Wii.
