Excerpt from: University of Delaware Policies and Procedures Manual, Section: Personnel

University employees are covered by the State of Delaware Unemployment Insurance Act. Generally, employees are eligible for unemployment compensation if terminated for causes not controlled by the employee. The amount of unemployment compensation is set by the State of Delaware. It is the joint responsibility of the supervisor and the Office of Labor Relations to expedite legitimate claims and to guard against unwarranted claims.
