2008 Benefits Open Enrollment
Access your enrollment information online at: http://www.udel.edu/FlexNet. What's New? The Urgent Care co-pay for the Aetna and BlueCare HMO plans has been reduced to $20. Co-pays on diabetic supplies through our prescription medication provider, Medco, have been reduced to $0. See the health plan comparison chart for an overview of the health plans. The University extends same-sex domestic partner benefits to employees in a University-recognized same-sex domestic partnership. See our website for details. What About Rates? UD continues to offer excellent benefit choices and pays an average of 94% of both single and family health care costs. See the full-time per pay rate chart for details. The University has been able to negotiate rate decreases in some of our benefits including dental, life and disability insurance for faculty and professional staff.
If you are covering your spouse through one of the UD medical insurance plan, you must complete a Spousal Coordination of Benefits Policy Form each year during open enrollment. Through the Open Enrollment web form, you can help us to ensure that you are confirming correct benefit coverage for you and your family. Please take a few minutes to carefully review information for your depedents, and, if necessary, make corrections. Open Enrollment is a great time to update/change your life or retirement plan beneficiaries and/or consider starting or adding to a voluntary retirement 403(b) plan. If you are changing coverage or adding a dependent to one of the HMO Plans (BlueCare or Aetna), you will be asked to also designate a primary care physician (PCP) as required for each new member.
