Transfer of Credits

Sculpture

All students seeking Transfer of Credit should first go to the University Transfer Center (Student Services Center, 30 Lovett Avenue, Newark, Delaware, Telephone: [302] 831-1551), before they request a transfer of credit from the department.

The Department of Art History assigns a University of Delaware equivalent for only Art History courses, or for courses taken in other fields such as Art, History, Archaeology, etc., with contents similar to the course offerings by the Department of Art History. Students may obtain approval for transfer credit either before or after the course has been taken. For approval, you will need to gather and submit the following materials.

  (1) University of Delaware official "Transfer-Credit-Post Admissions Form." This form is available at the Student Services Building and in the Department of Art History. You are to fill in all the necessary information EXCEPT for the equivalent UD course. If you are expecting transfer credit for a particular UD course, identify the course by number and name on the first form in #1 above

  (2) The Department of Art History’s “Transfer of Credit Form.” This form is available in the Department of Art History or can be printed from the Departmental web site by using the above link.

  (3) A photocopy of the course description in its official catalogue. Identify the university which offered the course. If it is available on-line, you can submit a print-out of this.

  (4) A course syllabus. This is not required, but it can determine whether or not a specific course equivalent gets approved.
