Undergraduate Assessment
The mission of the Department of Art History is to advance knowledge and education critical to the understanding, research and writing about the history, traditions and objects of art within a wide range of global and cultural contexts. Assessment is an ongoing process in which faculty establish clear, measurable, expected outcomes of student learning; ensure that students have sufficient opportunities to achieve those outcomes; systematically gather, analyze and interpret evidence to determine how well student learning matches expectations; and reformulate educational outcomes based on the results of such assessment.
