Minor
in East Asian Studies
This is an interdisciplinary program for students wishing to focus their
interests on East Asia as an enhancement and complement of their undergraduate
majors. Students will declare the minor in either East Asian
Studies without Language or East Asian Studies with Language.

Substitutions for the courses in all the East Asian Studies degree programs
may be made with the permission of Dr. David Pong. Independent Studies
and Special Problems courses may also count towards these degrees with
Dr. Pong's approval. The course list will be updated from time to
time. A minimum of C- is required in all courses.
East Asian Studies With Language
The Minor with Language consists of the above listed 18 credits of
requirements plus completion of either CHIN107 or JAPN107 or their equivalents
in transfer credit of proficiency examination.
