About the Program
The African Studies program at the University
of Delaware was founded in 1992
with the aim of providing an intellectually
coherent program of study based
on regularly offered courses in a few
disciplines. Over the years the program
has grown to encompass faculty and students
from several different departments
in the humanities and social sciences.
The program offers an 18 credit minor
and supports winter session programs in
a few countries in Africa.
