More and more business decisions are made based on scientific conclusions from data. Statisticians play a key role in turning data into knowledge. By analyzing and summarizing data and telling a story about the data, the goal of statisticians is to help the decision-makers to understand fully what the data says. In addition to statistical tests, data quality checks and data visualization are also a part of a statisticians' daily work life. This presentation will illustrate some methods for exploring the "story of the data", especially in the crop protection business.
