Welcome to the Delaware Chapter ASA homepage. The Delaware Chapter serves the state of Delaware and adjacent areas in the bordering states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Members of the Chapter come from diverse employment settings. Important examples include DuPont, AstraZeneca, Perry Point VA Center, WL Gore, Hercules, First USA Bank, Delaware State University, the University of Delaware, and independent statistical consultants.

ASA Council of Chapters Traveling Courses for 2012

The national ASA has announced the Council-of-Chapters-Traveling Courses for 2012. They include:

  • Applied Mixed Models -- Linda Young, instructor (Repeat of course taught in 2011)

  • Applied Survival Analysis -- Susanne May, instructor

  • Monte Carlo Methods with R -- George Casells, instructor

    If you are interested in attending any of these courses, register your vote with Stephen Bingham (Stephen.Bingham@va.gov). He has agreed to organize a course for 2012 in cooperation with the Chesapeake Chapter, if there is sufficient interest.

    P.S. Plaudits are due to Steve for organizing the course on Mixed Models in 2011. He received the ASA certificate of merit for contribution to our chapter in 2011, at least in part for his fine efforts organizing the Mixed Models course.
